Heitz Cellar’s second annual La Paulée banquet honored the historic Burgundian tradition of La Paulée de Meursault with a feast to celebrate the bounties of harvest.
Upon arrival at our private St Helena Estate, guests enjoyed a Champagne reception with passed canapés by renowned local chef Christina Machamer. The evening then progressed to an elegant, seated four-course banquet in our historic Stone Cellar. Each course was paired with one or more Heitz Cellar wines, including library vintages from deep within our cellar, as well as a special preview of our 2018 single-vineyard collection, which will be officially released exclusively to our Members in the Fall 2023 allocation.

In keeping with the historic tradition of La Paulée de Meursault, each guest also brought a special wine from their cellar to share with their neighbors during the meal. This convivial aspect of the meal provided an opportunity not only to showcase our own favorite producers, but also to gain insights into the cellars of our fellow oenophiles at the table, including such highlights as a 1988 Premier Cru Sauternes, a double magnum of blanc de blancs, and a 1974 Barolo.
