2019 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

The well-drained volcanic soil of this parcel allows it to convey the essence of the growing season, year after year. The long, warm summer of 2019 was even and consistent and marked by the classic, cool foggy mornings that help our vineyards maintain their vibrant and expressive characteristics. The incredible growing season led to wines with bright acidity, great structure with soft tannins, and brilliant, distinct aromatics. Aged for four years in our cellar followed by one year in bottle, this wine was created with your immediate enjoyment in mind and will continue to evolve over the next 20+ years.
2009 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2009 vintage has proven to be an excellent year for our portfolio of Cabernet Sauvignons, and our Trailside Vineyard is outstanding as well. Opulent hues of ruby and garnet draw you headlong into the glass; rich aromas of blackberry and a hint of nutmeg invite you to stay. With just the right amount of French oak there is a subtle sweetness that lifts and enhances the dark fruit characters on the palate. Balanced against the more savory, earthy notes of coffee and cedar, this wine has all the hallmarks of a classic Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon.
